Cherokee Wisdom
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness,
benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Sandrine Pinna

A year ago, one of my best buddies JR Pinna contacted his little sister for the first time. I'll always remember that day, getting to work and seeing him with shinning eyes and a tear dropping from his eye. Now the little sister is making big brother proud, rising star in Taiwan, she was nominated for the Best Actress award at the prestigious Golden Horse Film Awards for her performance in the movie Miao Miao.

CalDAV RFC 4791 helps sync all your calendars (ical and gcal)
Back in the Oracle days, my boss was very active in the collaboration RFC business. ICalendar, VCard revisions to later become co-author of the CalDAV Request For Comment. Working on the Oracle Calendar SDK and server, I became quite familiar with those protocols and can appreciate the complexity involved in making this happen. I think I had(was kindly asked ;) to read and give feedback on the CalDAV RFC Drafts 1000 times, while Bern was writing it. One could not imagine the amount of work and perfectionism involved in writing an internet protocol.
This morning I was pretty satisfied when I installed this neat calaboration google app to import my google calendar in macbook pro calendar(iCal) to create a meeting in iCal, modify it in Google and see all this 2 seconds later in iCal on my macbook, iCal on my iPhone and my Google calendar. Now the real strength and objective of CalDAV is to collaborate between 3rd party collaboration applications, lets see how that goes..

Chamonix January 09
Me and Max left Paris with lots of ambush for Chamonix for 6 days @ St-Gervais Les Bains to meet Romain and his crew. The Chile nos and the guys from Antibes decided not to come at the last minute because of the lack of snow and work. Then Milot and Captain Blain met us down there for the week-end. We had unbelievable sunny days but weren't satisfied. The week-end after, we had planed to go to Portugal with Bobby visiting Europe but changed our mind with the 140 cm of snow coming down and rented a van to head back there with Bobby, Mag and J + we got to meet Cyn and her man down there. First 2 days the mountains were closed because of the Avalanche warning, they were provoking avalanches everywhere so that we could have one of the best riding experiences on Sunday. We had too much Champagne on Saturday but the Sunday ride will still be carved in our memories forever.

Chamonix Mont-Blanc
Last week I left Paris for a 5 day trip with Max to meet friends in their cottage in St-Gervais / Mont-Blanc. So on wednesday night we met Romain and Mag from Antibes to their Cottage in the Mountain.
Riding Day 1 Beautiful and Sunny day @ GRANDS MONTETS
Riding Day 2 Beautiful and less Sunny day Megeve and St-Gervais
On Friday we met Milot and Captain Blain in Chamonix where we discovered a great little restaurant Le Bivouac
Riding Day 3 Nice day in Brevent Chamonix
We left with the snowfall on Sunday, so we decided to go back tomorrow with 80cm of the fresh white stuff. Can't wait to float in that powda, with, max, bobby, j and maggy may.

Dany Sabourin on Waivers
Sunday on the train I got a text message saying Sabou was traded to the Oilers for Mathieu Garon and I found it a little fishy. With more info from the news and Saby, the Oilers already have their 2 starting goalies, they wanted to get rid of Garon 1million $ salary and were forced to take him in the trade. Now the Islanders are a good prospect to pick him up on waivers today with DiPietro and MacDonald sidelined Dany Sabourin au ballottage. NYC wouldn't be too shabby.... definitely a better city to live in.

Thats it, thats all
"What is snowboarding to me? It's when I feel passion. That is if passion is a combination of utter joy, frustration and rage. It's my life"
Coming back from a frustrating Snowboarding trip(powder wise, because the scenery, friends and experience was awesome) to the Chamonix region, I saw this amazing film. There expecting 80cm of snow this week, I should head down there again next week-end to ride the real thing.
